Distorted corner - Budapest 2017

These mirrors exist all over the VII district in downtown Budapest, as they help with blind corners. The whole district is a nightmarish one-way system that is unfathomable and nonnavigable.

Hi guys. Today I wanted to share a little of how I photograph the street, most of the time.

Theo or Fy, as we lovingly call him is almost 8 months old at the time of writing this. Me and Celine (better half) are both freelancers, and mainly work from our flat in the VII district, the heart of Budapest. Our son is half British, and the other half French and Spanish. This is an article on why I take him with me on my main trips of photography around the wondrous city of Gulyás and Túró Rudi.

1 - I didn't break the bank or have to mortgage my house to buy a Fuji x-100, or Leica M6 or something similar. I found this little gem second hand in great condition.

2 - It's so inconspicuous, I am photographing in peoples faces and they don't realise (great for candid, un-posed shots).

3 - In camera contrast control and very easy to find/change.

4 - Fixed 28mm wide angle is perfect for grabbing a lot of information and forces me to get in close to the subject.
